Seven (approx. two hundred pound) Bronze Plaques from the Chicago foundry. Due
to U.S. Navy restrictions and the need to move during restoration of the area,
the nearly eight ton flag staff and base will be movable. (note metal channels
at base). Note also the pouring of the concrete, (rust resistant formula) with
small pieces of metal from the Battleship Arizona inserted within the mix denoting
a bond with our Marine shipmates.
